Three Forks volleyball battles to the end against Big Timber

The Three Forks High School Volleyball team will be looking to pick up their third conference win this week with a road matchup on October 5 at Whitehall and a home match on October 6 against Townsend.

In action last week, the Wolves fell at home to Big Timber, 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

"I think we did a pretty good job of playing hard from start to finish against Big Timber. We improved each set and had some really awesome hustle plays. They never gave up, and I'm proud of them for that," said Head Coach Tiffany Lynch. "Obviously, losing a game is disappointing, but I think we have a lot to look forward to in the remainder of our season. Our upperclassmen have been great leaders, and our underclassmen are improving tremendously and showing a lot of promise."

Ciel Gayle led Three Forks in kills against the Herders with seven, and Natalee Hayder added six. Kylee Reichman, Mikayla Lear, and Eva Parker had two kills, and Fallon Page added one.

Gayle led the team in blocks with 2.5, Lear finished with two, Hayder and Parker had 1.5 blocks, and Reichman was credited with half a block.

Kylie Rowan led the team with 16 assists, and McCauley added five.

Madelyn Tesoro had 15 digs, Page finished with six, Kennedy Rogers had four, Rowan finished with two, and McCauley had one.

"For our game in Whitehall on Thursday and our game at home against Townsend on Friday, our focus is going to be to control the controllables on our side of the net. We will be looking to reduce unforced errors and playing clean on our side," Lynch said.
