Three Forks fares well at Capital City 7 on 7

The Three Forks High School Cross Country team battled against some of the best teams in the state at last Thursday's Capital City 7 on 7 competition in Helena.

Wolves Head Coach Tara Forsberg was pleased with her team's performance at the meet, featuring seven varsity races and another for junior varsity.

"It is such a fun race to watch, and the duos warming and running together is always a great way to have the team bond," Forsberg said.

Teegan Gifford led the way at 20:28.43 in the girls' varsity races. Bella Jones had a time of 21:14.79, and Ari Judd finished the race at 21:46.48. Grace Kluin finished at 22:49.13, Devyn Judd ended the race at 25:10.58, Dawson Petersen finished at 26:34.61, and Pailey Lampers had a time of 29:03.68.

"Our varsity girls' ran strong, and although they didn't PR, they were within second and were in a great headspace," Forsberg said.

On the boys' side, Forsberg said the team ran well with Lucas Petersen and Kiai Ingraham with PRs.

Bryon Fanning finished with a time of 16:49.04, Cass Violett ended the race at 17:13.13, Chris Harmon had a time of 20:13.90, and Micah Gather ended the race at 18:59.91. Ingraham finished with a PR of 20:21.85, Petersen had a time of 20:21.85, and Rhett Violett had a time of 20:59.86.

In junior varsity action, Forsberg said Aubrey Lema and Bella Meehan had great races and finished with PRs. Meehan had a time of 28:32, and Lema finished at 29:51.7.

In boys' junior varsity action, Gavin Richards finished at 21:24.1, and Jacoby Berg had a time of 24:59.1.
