Numerous Halloween events on the horizon

It should be a fantastic Halloween for children in the Three Forks area, with various local organizations hosting events over the next week.

The Three Forks Chamber is hosting its annual Trick or Treat on Main event on Tuesday, October 31, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

According to Chamber Executive Director Emily Whalen, participating businesses will have a poster hanging on their window.

"The Chamber always looks forward to events like Trick or Treat on Main as a way to get involved with the community. We love seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes and having a good time," Whalen said.

The Rebekah Lodge is hosting a Children's Halloween Party on Saturday, October 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The party will have costume judging at 7 p.m. and a balloon stomp at 7:30 p.m. Those in attendance can get a hot dog, chips, drink, and a cookie for $5. The Rebekah Lodge is located at 20 East Date, across from the Three Forks Fire Hall.

The Missouri Headwaters State Park is hosting an event on Saturday, October 28, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the State Park located five miles northeast of Three Forks on Trident Road.

Family-friendly activities include a costume contest for kids and pets, face painting, a trick-or-treat table, a "photo BOOth", and yard games, including a broomstick race. The event will include vendors, hot cocoa, kettle corn, and s'mores at a campfire. FWP staff will also host an arts and crafts booth celebrating National Bat Week.

The Three Forks Community Library is hosting a drop-in Harry Potter event featuring different activity stations on Saturday, October 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Woolzie's Willow Creek Café is hosting its annual pumpkin carving party on Thursday, October 26, at 5:30 p.m. The café is located at 21 Main Street in Willow Creek.
