Family Outreach Negotiating Better Rates in Early Intervention Contract

Family Outreach, the state-designated provider of Early Intervention services for the Early Childhood and Family Support Division’s (ECFSD) Region IV covering southwestern Montana, is in contract negotiations with the State of Montana for increased service reimbursement rates. A State-initiated change to funding methodology in 2018 greatly reduced reimbursement rates and left these services severely underfunded: monthly per-client funding was $545.21 for Part C and $534.52 for FES in 2017, reduced to $476.62 for each service after 2018.
