Three Forks wins overtime thriller against visiting Ennis

The Three Forks High School Girls' Basketball team picked up their first conference win of the season on December 16 with a thrilling 58-55 overtime victory over visiting Ennis.

After falling in their conference opener on December 14 in Boulder, the Wolves bounced back on Saturday and moved to 5-1 on the season.

"A conference win is always a good thing. And with the extra four minutes of playing, it was even more hard earned. I was really happy with how the girls showed up and put everything into the game versus Ennis. The only thing they took away from the Boulder loss were the lessons," said Head Coach Lacy Noble. "They were patient on the press and handled their pressure much better. The girls played as teammates and helped each other on both ends of the court. Our team defense was much better. AdaRae Thomas came off the bench and had a huge game offensively, and Maya Noble came off the bench with a huge defensive game effort for us."

It was a fantastic night for Thomas, who finished with 18 points. Devynn Judd and Maddie Tesoro finished with 12, Noble and Tanaya Hauser had six, and Kylee Reichman and Zandra Potts finished with two.

Three Forks opened the week with a 66-33 road loss in their conference opener on December 14 in Boulder against Jefferson High School.

Hauser led the team in scoring with eight, Judd finished with six, Jones added five, and Tesoro finished with four.

Noble and Thomas had three points, and Potts and Reichman finished with two.

After a road game on December 19 at Townsend, Three Forks will not play until January 4 at Twin Bridges.
