A few weeks before her high school graduation in May of 2023, Reagan Buchignani signed to continue her cheer career at Rocky Mountain College in Billings. It was quite the freshman season for the Three Forks High School graduate who helped the Battlin' Bears to a third-place finish at this month's National Cheerleading Association (NCA) National Championships in Daytona, Florida.
Buchignani said being part of the squad that finished third in the Advanced All-Girl NAIA competition was amazing.
"Not only were we able to bring home a trophy, but we were the first Montana team to ever set foot on the NCA National mat," Buchignani said.
With her first year with the team complete, Reagan said the experience has been more than she ever imagined.
"We are such a tight-knit team, and I think that we will only be better next year due to our amazing coaches," she said.
Earlier this month, Buchignani was also named a Universal Cheerleading Association staff member.
