Three Forks Volunteer Firefighters are partnering with Stageline Pizza for a unique fundraiser later this week.
At the second Pizza Time event on Saturday, May 18, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Three Forks Firefighters will deliver pizzas to addresses within the Fire District. All tips and donations will go to the Three Forks Volunteer Firefighters 501c3 non-profit.
According to Training Captain Charles Eastty, in 2023, one of the firefighters joked that they should deliver pizza as training one night to familiarize themselves with the district better.
“We have had many emergency calls where the address is not properly mapped on Google, and the address is a private driveway. This could cause a delay in our response to the scene of an emergency, especially in a natural disaster where cell service is down. So, we partnered with Stageline Pizza to both fundraiser and better familiarize our firefighters with street names within our Fire District,” Eastty said.
Looking back on 2023, Eastty said the first event was a great success due to the generous donations of citizens within the district. For Eastty, partnering with local businesses is amazing for the local firefighters.
“We have so many great businesses that support us. And Tara (Forsberg) at Stageline Pizza has been a huge support in making this fundraiser possible. Last year, her team worked hard to make this event a success. We could not do what we do without all of the community and business support,” he said.
