This week, the Three Forks High School Class of 2024 will mark the end of an era and the start of a new journey.
The Three Forks Voice would like to congratulate all the students graduating on Sunday, June 2, and wish them well in the future.
When we first started the newspaper in October 2018, members of the Class of 2024 were just in the seventh grade. So, we’ve had the opportunity to follow along as the students journey into high school and excel in the classroom, sports, and other extracurricular activities. Seeing all the amazing things this Class has accomplished has been rewarding, and the future will be bright.
While graduation is undoubtedly exciting, it can be highly nerve-wracking as students try to figure out what is next. Many people know what they will be doing after graduation, but it’s also okay not to have a plan yet. There is plenty of time to figure that out. I remember reading about how many jobs Colonel Sanders had before he sold the rights to his first Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise. Sometimes, it takes a while to figure it out, so get out there and try different things if needed.
It’s also important to remember how dangerous graduation can be with many parties and underage drinking. Of course, not all graduates take part in underage drinking, but those who do, please do not drink and drive. Somebody can always give you a ride if you need one. Having your parents mad for a few minutes because you woke them up with a call at 2 a.m. is much better than the alternatives.
Hats off to the Three Forks High School Class of 2024. We can’t wait to see what’s next.
