Quilt raffle raising money for scholarship fund

December 4, 2019

A community effort has resulted in an amazing quilt that is currently being raffled to raise money for the Three with Wings Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Be Lazy Quilting, the Three Forks FCCLA Chapter, the Crooked Seamsters of Three Forks, and the Stitching B's teamed up earlier this year to create the raffle for the quilt that features three wolves.

The scholarship was established in 2005 in the honor of Three Forks High School seniors Mallory Wilcox, Phillip Wendland, and Lacimarie Trent who passed away in a 2014 accident.

Marilyn Trent said the number of scholarships handed out each year depends on donations to the fun, and she was very happy when she heard of the donation of the quilt.

"We are very grateful. It's an amazing quilt and a very wonderful gesture," she said.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and can be purchased at Be Lazy Quilting, Manhattan Bank Three Forks Branch, Main Street Office, and Three Forks Market. The FCCLA Chapter has also sold raffle tickets this year at school events.

The quilt has been on display at Manhattan Bank and will be moving to Three Forks High School. The auction is scheduled to take place on December 14 at the annual Imerys Basketball Tournament.
