Wolves learn from postseason, coach praises senior class

While they were unable to advance out of last month's 5B District Volleyball Tournament in Manhattan, the four matches provided a wonderful learning experience for the younger players on the team.

The Wolves were able to win two matches and fell short of Divisionals after a loss to rival Manhattan.

"We were where we talked about being all season long. Our goal was to be in a position to extend our season at tournament time. And they did that, we just unfortunately did not play our best when we needed to. But like I told them all season long, we are either winning or learning," said Head Coach Shann Mack. "As for our returners, this was a huge learning lesson and a big step in the right direction for our program. The growth this team made from day one to the district tourney was tremendous."

In the first year of his second stint with the program, Mack also praised his senior class. The senior class members are Kayden Benson, Halee Wilson, Lauren Stone, Hemi Ervin, Macie Jensen, and Jasmyn Murphy.

"I would like to thank Seniors for all their hard work this year, and years passed. They were amazing to work with, and they all did a fantastic job leading this program and adapting to all the changes we set in place. This year's success would not have been possible without their commitment to this program," Mack said.
