Felz inducted into FCCLA Hall of Fame

Earlier this summer in San Diego, Three Forks teacher Cathe Felz was honored for her hard work, dedication, passion, and commitment with an induction to the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Leadership Hall of Fame.

While Felz was honored to be inducted, the Three Forks FCCLA advisor said she shares the recognition with all the kids who have worked so hard to make the community the best it can be.

"Walking or driving around town I see trees we have planted, parks we helped to build, and tulips we planted on Main Street still blooming. The kids have done some really great projects, which makes it fun to be their adviser. Seeing the contributions many of them continue to make to their communities makes me very proud of them and their accomplishments. The best part of teaching is seeing the students you had in your classroom be successful and give back to the community," Felz said.

With school starting next week, Felz is excited to see the students.

"I miss them during the summer. Starting the school year, it is always fun to see how much the kids have grown up and changed and hear the great summer adventures," she said.

After a very successful 2021-22 school year for FCCLA in Three Forks that included winning a National Runner Up Financial Fitness Award, Felz is already excited to get started on several projects.

"If you look behind the sign in the school parking lot, you will see our 'Grow a Row' project for the Headwaters Area Food Bank. So far this summer, we have donated 20 pounds of fresh vegetables.," she said.
