Strong start to the season for Three Forks Speech and Drama

It's so far, so good during the first three weeks of competition for the Three Forks High School Speech and Drama Team.

According to Head Coach Jonathon Sutton, the team opened the season on October 29 in Deer Lodge, finishing first in Drama and Second in Speech. In their next meet on November 5 at West Yellowstone, the Drama team again finished first, and Speech was second. At their November 12 meet at Big Timber, the Speech team finished second, and Drama ended in third place.

"The Speech and Drama season has been off to a great start. So far, I am really happy with how the team is progressing. We have a lot of new and young faces who are eager to perform well," Sutton said.

The team will next compete on December 10 at the Gardiner Meet in Livingston and will travel to Belfry on December 17.

"We have some top contenders for state, and these meets have given our students practice and confidence they need to succeed," Sutton said.

The team will also help to host the state competition on January 27 and 28 in Manhattan. Sutton said they are looking for area residents interested in judging. Those interested can contact Sutton at [email protected].
