Board Accepts Superintendent Resignation

The Three Forks School Board voted unanimously last week to accept the resignation of Superintendent Jeff Elliott. His last day with the district will be June 30.

Originally hired in 2018, Elliott had previously served as the Principal at Fergus High School in Lewiston. Elliott said last month he would be leaving the position for family reasons.

At last week’s board meeting, Elliott said he has had people ask him if he could stay in a remote capacity.

“With the building going on and the things that are happening it’s just not a feasible option. I don’t think it’s good for the district or me. My fear is that I get too involved and I don’t think I’d give my family enough of the support they need at this time,” he said.

Trustee Robert Buchholz said he hates to see Elliott leave but it is important he takes care of himself and his family.
