    Two $55,000 levies that would have been used to hire additional teachers at the Three Forks Schools were defeated by voters Tuesday, both falling by a slim margin. The Three Forks Elementary General Fund Levy fell by a vote of 472 to 440. The high school levy fell by a vote of 485 to 438.     The Three Forks Baseball League is hosting a Golf Scramble and Auction Fundraiser Saturday, May 11 at the Headwaters Golf Course. The golf portion of the event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and the auction will start at 7 p.m. According to Cody Iddings, they are starting to get a lot of kids in the program and the money raised will be used to help upgrade the fields as well as building a new field.     Each year the Three Forks Masonic Lodge #73 encourages local students to read with their Bikes for Books program. This year a total of 12 students were chosen as winners at the annual Bikes for Books assembly. Mel Hamilton of the Masonic Lodge said the program started small several years with two or three students receiving bikes and has grown to the point that this year they were able to choose six students to win bikes and six to win Amazon Fire Kindles.     It was great scene last Saturday at Imery's Field in Three Forks as members of the Gallatin Valley Outlaws and Posse baseball teams hosted a clinic for younger players. This was a job well done by the players and coaches to pass on their knowledge and love of the game to a younger generation. It says a lot that they took time out to help promote the sport.
