    There is a vacant seat on the Three Forks School Board. At last month's school board meeting, the board approved the resignation of Trustee Candace Rochford. Three Forks Superintendent Jeff Elliott said they are currently accepting applicants to fill remaining one-year of her term. He added they would take applications until the day of the next board meeting scheduled for July 16 at 6:30 p.m. The board will appoint the new member at the meeting.   • Farmer's Market season kicks off next week

    The Three Forks Farmer's Market will officially open for the season July 11. The event sponsored by the Three Forks Chamber of Commerce will take place each Thursday through September 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Milwaukee Park. Event organizer Dianne Phillips said she is getting excited for the upcoming season, adding the market has really been growing over the past several years.   • Chamber Stick Horse Derby brings the fun

    There will be plenty of smiles later this month at the annual Three Forks Chamber of Commerce Stick Horse Derby. The annual free-of-charge event is scheduled to take place Thursday, July 18 at 5 p.m. in Milwaukee Park. Three Forks Chamber Executive Secretary Connie Hussung said the derby is getting bigger every year and encouraged families to bring their children. "It's so much fun.     At last week's City Council meeting the governing body voted to appoint Sean Gifford as the new Mayor of Three Forks.
