  • Vandalism reported on new school roof

    After the recent upsetting news of vandalism on the new roofing completed as part of the Three Forks Schools Bond Project, Superintendent Rhonda Uthlaut made it very clear that the district will not tolerate this behavior. At last week’s School Board meeting, Uthlaut discussed the August 13 incident where vandalism occurred on the newly completed roof and part of the brick siding.     Since the start of practice earlier this month, new Three Forks High School Volleyball Head Coach Tiffany Lynch has been pleased with what she has witnessed from 31 players who tried out for the 2023 team.     From MSU News Service Fifty-three high school graduates from across Montana have been selected for their effort and potential as the eighth class of Montana State University's Hilleman Scholars Program, which is named after Maurice Hilleman, one of the state's most influential native sons and an MSU graduate. This year's class includes 2023 Three Forks High School Graduate Alexander Kunesh. Hilleman was born on a farm near Miles City in 1919.     Three Forks High School sophomore Danni Kober was recently selected to sing Alto II in the prestigious Montana All-State Choir. Kober will join others from around the state to perform at the Montana Music Educator Festival scheduled for October 18 to 20 in Missoula. According to Jonathan Sutton, her music teacher last school year, students from Class AA to Class C audition to perform in the elite group. “Students make an audition recording in the spring, and it is quite rare for a sophomore to make the ensemble,” Sutton said. Terry grew up in Three Forks, Montana, where he graduated from Three Forks High School in 1962, then joined the U.S. Navy where he began his adult life, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
