    The Three Forks Schools Board of Trustees voted Tuesday to hire a new middle/ high school principal. The board approved to hire current assistant Principal Greg Heys for the position as well as the hiring of five new teachers. The trustees hired three new teachers at the elementary school. Madison Mahoney was hired for kindergarten, Alisha Jore was approved as a new first grade teacher, and Connor Sullivan was hired as a new third grade teacher.     A total of six candidates filed prior to the June 17 deadline for the upcoming Three Forks Municipal Election. According to Gallatin County Election Manager Casey Hayes, Gene Townsend, Carl "Bud" Mohler Jr., and Sean Gifford filed to run for Mayor.     While I much rather watch a basketball or football game, whenever the United States soccer team is playing in a World Cup, I pay attention. I don't know much about soccer, don't like it enough to call it football, but do love cheering on my country and anything where the best in the world are doing it is usually pretty exciting.     12 Three Forks High School graduate Traci Johnston will be continuing her athletic career in Helena. Johnston signed a letter of intent last week to compete for the Carroll College cross country and track teams. "I'm very excited.
