    After an amazing weekend at the B/C Southern Divisional Tournament on the University of Montana campus in Missoula, the Three Forks High School Speech and Drama team will host the state tournament this week.   • Not enough votes to appoint new council member

    The Three Forks City Council did not have enough votes Tuesday to select a new member to the governing body. In a blind ballot, three Council members voted to appoint Erin Schattauer to the council and one voted in favor of Steve Dahl. City Clerk/Deputy Treasurer Crystal Turner told the council they must have at least four votes to select the replacement for longtime council member Ed Tharp.     The Three Forks Schools 2019 Adult Education program is underway with a record number of classes and participants. The program kicked off January 7 with 22 classes and 166 signed up for classes. The program had 120 sign up in 2018. He was born March 8, 1930 in Colby, Kansas to Virgil and Rosalie (McBride) Carl.     The Three Forks High School girls basketball team used a huge third quarter run last Thursday at home to defeat visiting Big Timber. Trailing 33-32 midway through the quarter, the Lady Wolves (6-6, 2-4 5B) exploded with a 16-0 run to take a 48-32 lead on their way to a 58-42 victory. The win avenged a 46-36 road loss in December.     The Headwaters Wrestling Academy is hosting a tournament on Sunday, January 27 at the Three Forks High School. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. they are expecting around 300 kids from all over the state. The wrestlers competed last week in Billings and had great results at a tournament that included over 500 Kids.
