    At the second of four planned Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) meetings in southern Broadwater County, WGM Group and Montana Department of Commerce (DOC) officials discussed last week the results from a recent survey and feedback on land use maps. Broadwater County has received a CTAP grant from the DOC, which partnered with the WGM Group to facilitate the meetings and planning.   • Three Forks Council revokes kennel license

    The Three Forks City Council voted last week to revoke the kennel license for Stacy Adams at 406 1st Avenue East. In July, the governing body approved a motion to allow a license for Adams to keep her six rescue dogs together. Before July's vote and at last week's meeting, several neighbors raised concerns to the governing body about the nuisance of the dogs barking.   • Thanksgiving Food Drive Set for Halloween

    Three Forks Schools' new VIP (Volunteering In Packs) Coalition together with Headwaters Area Food Bank and Stageline Pizza are hoping to have a record-breaking food drive on Halloween this year. Trick-Or-Treat So Kids Can Eat, as the drive has been named, will be a joint effort to help the local food bank put together their annual Thanksgiving baskets. Students have been challenged to put teams of 3-5 students together to collect food around town on Halloween. Fall sports teams will be competing to see who can collect the most food.   • Headliners announced for Headwaters Country Jam

    The headlining acts have been announced for the 2024 Headwaters Country Jam scheduled for July 25 to 27 at "The Bridge" near Three Forks. Bailey Zimmerman, Jon Pardi, and Gary Allan are the headlining acts for the popular local music festival.     With another stellar regular season in the books, the Three Forks High School Cross Country team has its eye on the postseason and the state meet scheduled for Saturday, October 21, at the Rebecca Farm in Kalispell.
