    Just in time for the holidays, a new book about the Sacajawea Hotel published by the Three Forks Area Historical Society will make a perfect gift for both current and former residents. "The Sacajawea: The History of the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks, Montana" is now available at the hotel lobby or by contacting historical society members.     In a report to the School Board last week, Project Manager Andy Becker told the trustees they had made good progress over the past several weeks with the ongoing renovations and additions at the Three Forks Schools. Becker said they have currently spent around $7 million or roughly 33 percent of the $25 million of the total cost of the two bonds approved by Three Forks voters in May of 2020.     HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte recently called on Congress for greater flexibility in using Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) funds to address Montana’s housing crisis.     The Three Forks Education Foundation once again stepped up for the betterment of local schools last week when they awarded their 2021 Teacher Grants. The total amount of grants handed out by the TFEF on Wednesday, November 17, was $4,065. Science teacher Anna Berghausen received a grant for $346 she plans to use for new scales.     August 11, 1935 - November 15, 2021 Gordon Darlinton, 86, of Bozeman died Monday, November 15 at home at Hillcrest Senior Living in Bozeman, Montana. Gordon was born on August 11, 1935, and was raised on the Darlinton Ranch near Three Forks, Montana. He was the only child of Ralph and Elizabeth Darlinton. On March 24, 1957, Gordon married Marilyn Vaught, also of Three Forks. They continued ranching and raised their three children on the family ranch.     HELENA – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks staff is on pace to collect a record number of chronic wasting disease samples from deer, elk and moose this year. Between July 1 and Nov. 12, FWP staff collected 3,147 CWD samples, of which 1,613 were from the 2021 priority sampling areas located in northwestern, northcentral, southwestern and southcentral Montana.
